First Facial Experience

My first facial ever

It’s crazy to think about how I never had a facial done until now, in my 20’s! You’re probably reading this with a lot of facial experiences behind you or you may be like me, and never had a facial done before. I am going to share with you why I finally decided to get a facial and my backstory behind it.

I constantly struggle with oily, acne-prone skin, and this happened since puberty hit. In addition, I also fight the battle of hormonal acne during the arrival of mother nature every single month. Skincare has always been important to me and now that I am older, I value “self-care” even more.

Being a very detail-oriented person who is conscientious about the professionalism, cleanliness, and expertise about the practice and team, I did my research first. I met the staff at Glamour Plastic Surgery and Med Spa and consulted with Dr. Bachilo. I actually met with Dr. Bachilo long before I started this blogging journey and going down on memory lane, she asked me if I had social media, at that time I did not. Why I chose Glamour Plastic surgery

Since I never had a facial done before, I was hesitant about the process and procedure. I strongly believe that in order to follow through with something, we must place great trust in it. I trust the team at Glamour Plastic Surgery and Med Spa, as soon as you step inside their office, you will know exactly what I mean. They greeted me by my name, asked how I was doing with a genuine smile, and checked on my comfortability throughout the procedure.

If I was going to get my first ever facial done, why not get the best treatment? Therefore, I went with the Signature Hydrafacial procedure which entails deep cleansing, exfoliation, comfortable extractions of blackheads, and includes blue and red LED light therapy to reduce signs of aging.

When I think of “hydrafacial”, I think of hydration, and that is exactly what our skin needs. It is a specialized skincare treatment designed to deliver hydration to thirsty skin cells. my personal Hydrafacial experience

This was the start of the Signature Hydrafacial procedure. I wore a headband so Aesthetician, Nallely, could begin by removing my makeup.

Nallely used the gentle makeup cleanser by ZO to remove my makeup.

Her hands were so gentle when removing my makeup, I felt like I was getting a face massage!

Nallely placed a warm towel over my face. It felt so soothing! The makeup is now removed and the Hydrafacial process will now begin.

I’m smiling here because she told me that my face would appear PORELESS! She exfoliated my skin with the hydrafacial and used a light peel containing glycolic and salicylic acid. This works to combat oiliness.

Nallely focused on the nose and chin during the extractions to remove blackheads and then used an antioxidant serum following the extractions.

Nallely made sure I was comfortable during the entire process and yes, you can see from my facial expression that it was a relaxing experience.

Since I didn’t see what I looked like during the Signature Hydrafacial, I was really impressed by the blue LED light! This light prevents acne bacteria from spreading.

I have to admit that I thought this was pretty cool upon seeing the photos! This is the red LED light following the procedure to reduce any redness.

Lastly, Nallely placed a board-spectrum sunscreen, lip balm, and CBD cream on my neck and shoulders followed by a massage.

My experience was wonderful and for the full week following the Hydrafacial procedure, my face was glowing from inside-out. It looked poreless and I am not even kidding! One of my friends even noticed without my mentioning anything, and that was when I truly knew it was not only me who saw the results!
